Vinyasa is a Sanskrit term that literally translates into “special placement.” In the context of yoga, it is associated with the flow-like synchronizing of breath with movement. In this class we connect our breaths with a flowing series of poses, while building calorie-burning heat, developing power in muscles and joints, and increasing overall flexibility. This is an active class for all levels.
Restorative yoga supports the body through the use of props, resulting in complete rest and relaxation. Combined with healing power of light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends, the overall effect of gently sustaining these poses provides great relief from anxiety, stress, muscle soreness, and general discomfort. This is a soothing class for all levels.
Yin/Yang yoga is a slow-paced, mindful alternating of soft and active poses, focusing on the connective tissues of the body: the tendons, fascia, and ligaments. The resulting flow, mindful breathing, and meditative state gently heals by increasing blood circulation to the joints and by improving flexibility. It is extremely beneficial for the mind-body connection, and is suitable for all ages and levels.
